Ford GoRide Health shifts to autonomy and shuts down in five cities

It appeared as though things were going great for Ford’s GoRide Health, an assistance that offered non-crisis transportation to medical clinics and other social insurance offices. This spring, it sketched out an arrangement to venture into 40 urban areas through the span of four years. Rather, Ford is closing the administration down in the five urban communities it at present works. As per TechCrunch, Ford is moving GoRide Health to Miami, where it will concentrate on self-sufficient vehicles.

GoRide Health will never again be accessible in Detroit or Toledo, Dayton, Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio. That will leave clients scanning for better approaches to get to arrangements, which is certifiably not an incredible search for Ford.

The organization has not uncovered what its Miami-based program will resemble, just that the pilot will investigate the job self-sufficient vehicles may play. “Our learnings from GoRide Health have prompted a move in procedure,” Ford told TechCrunch in an email. “We are moving to test the potential for AV innovation to help improve access to transportation for those with restricted versatility.”
